Keon Stowers is a 2015 graduate of the University of Kansas. Currently, he serves as the lead Development Officer for the KU Alumni Association, which includes qualifying and soliciting prospects for major gift donations. Prior to his role with the Endowment Association, Keon Served as the Associate Director of Student Programs for the KU Alumni Association where he led and advised the Student Alumni Leadership Board. Keon is no stranger to the Admissions world. Prior to his role with the Alumni Association, Keon served as an admission representative for KU’s office of admissions. There he oversaw the day-to-day recruitment of over 1,500 students across the Kansas City area and played a key role in helping underrepresented high school students understand the college admissions process. Keon is originally from South Carolina and made his way to KU as a student athlete becoming a 3-time letter winner and 2-time captain of the KU football team. Today, Keon is mostly known for his incredible life story which was featured on Big12’s Champions for Life series.
