what is it?
Every other year, GPACAC (Great Plains)+ MOACAC (Missouri) Associations for College Admissions Counselors collaborate and plan and host an Annual Conference together in Kansas City, MO. A combined conference is a great way to expand each affiliate's network and provides access to additional resources for attendees.
Our Annual Conference is dedicated to the growth and professional development of members and non-members alike. Each year, high school counselors, college admissions counselors, and industry leaders gather to network, learn, and engage to ensure that the transition from high school to college is both smooth, intentional, and impactful for our future - the students.
About GPACAC + MOACAC:
1. organizations of professionals dedicated to serving students as they explore options and make choices about post-secondary education.
2. regional organizations that serving high school guidance counselors and college admission professionals in the states of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
3. a group dedicated to encouraging, advocating and facilitating equal access to post-secondary education and fostering communication among college-bound students, families and institutions.

2020 keynote: chris singleton
Chris Singleton is a former professional baseball player drafted by the Chicago Cubs. Over the last four years Chris has travelled the country giving keynote speeches to inspire those young and old. Chris has worked diligently and has presented to over 45 organizations in 2019 alone!
Chris has also spread his message through various different media outlets and has been featured on ESPN’s E:60, Sports Illustrated magazine, CNN, The Today Show, and USA Today. Chris’ mother, Sharonda Coleman Singleton was murdered in a race related mass shooting at Mother Emanuel AME church in Downtown Charleston, South Carolina on June 17th 2015. Chris inspired his city and the nation by forgiving the man who murdered his mother and stating that “Love is stronger than hate.” |
